Ms Beth Moores began teaching piano in 2014. During this time she gained a reputation for providing quality lessons to neurodiverse students, including, but not limited to, those with ASD, ADHD, Cognitive Developmental Delay, Dyspraxia and Dyslexia.

In 2017, Beth began teaching primary school music at an Independent school in Canberra. Here, she taught music through movement, games and stories to engage the imagination and inspire creativity. She also taught recorder, ukulele and mallet percussion to consolidate musical concepts and note reading. During this time, Beth also accompanied the school's Junior and Senior Choirs, performing at the school fair and Floriade. It was here that she discovered her passion for the variety that classroom music teaching offered.

After teaching music at an Independent school, Beth continued to teach classroom music, this time in the Catholic system. Here, she gained experience in preparing students for whole school musical productions. In 2018, she completed the Orff Level 1 course through the Orff Schulwerk Association of NSW. This gave Beth a greater understanding of the philosophy behind teaching movement alongside music. She was also encouraged to provide more opportunities for students to explore improvisation and composition within her lessons, both in the classroom and in the piano studio.

Beth returned to teaching in an Independent school in 2022, this time in NSW. In this role, Beth was able to gain new experience conducting concert bands and managing the school's peripatetic schedules. Beth also taught music to students from Kindergarten to Year 8 and accompanied both the Infants and Junior Choirs. During this time, Beth returned to university to complete her Masters.

After taking a short break from piano teaching to complete her Masters, Beth has now returned to the studio. She has always enjoyed working with individual students to help them achieve their learning goals, regardless of their age or ability. A problem-solver and lifelong learner, Beth enjoys attending conferences and sharing ideas with colleagues to ensure that her lessons are relevant and engaging.

Beth continues to attend Orff and Kodaly workshops and conferences. She also continues to study the Taubman approach to healthy piano technique. She is looking forward to attending the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference in Adelaide in 2026.

Beth's qualifications include a Certificate IV in Music (performance), a Bachelor's Degree in Education (primary), and a Master's in Education (wellbeing).

Beth has gained Honours in both Theory and Practical examinations with AMEB and ANZCA.

She also holds a current First Aid Certificate, Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT) and Working with Children Check (NSW).

Beth is passionate about teaching music to anyone who is willing to learn.

Regardless of your learning goal, Beth works tirelessly to tailor a program to suit your needs.
